Arctic Fox
The Artic Fox is a mammal. It's diet is an omnivore. An omnivore is an animal or a person that eats plants and meat. It's average life span is three to six years. Their size is eighteen to 26.75 inches. Their weight is 6.5 to 17 pounds. The group name is Sukulk or leash. They are not very tall. They can survive in temperatures as low as 58 degrees F. They live in tree lands in the Artic. They have short ears , and a short muzzle. They live in burrows. If a blizzard comes they will tunnel in the snow. They have white coats in the Winter. In the Summer they have a reddish color coat. Their Winter coat hepls as camouflage in the snow. In the Summer their coat helps them hunt rodents, birds, and fish. In Winter the food can't be very easily found on the ground. A polar bear will kill and eat its prey, and will allow the fox to eat the leftover scraps. They will also eat vetables if they can find them. Female Artic Foxes give birth every spring of up to 14 pups/kits.
